Welcome to LAGS
The Lunenburg Art Gallery Society was founded in 1972 under the auspices of the Heritage Society, to provide a home for a paintings by local artist, Earl Bailly. LAGS has since evolved into an independent society with over 150 members and our Lincoln Street gallery is a popular destination.
The Art of Our Community
Everyone is Welcome
We welcome artists with every level of skill and experience. You don't even have to be an artist! All you have to do is join.

In 2025 we will mount a new exhibition on the first Friday of every month, April - October. For an annual membership fee of $40 ($20 for students) every member can participate in each of these shows.
We are a volunteer-run gallery and we encourage all members to donate time and skills if possible. Please note there is a 40% commission on all sales of artwork.

AGM 2024/2025
The Annual General Meeting of the Lunenburg Art Gallery Society will be held on
Sunday February 23, 2025 at 2 pm AST. Our AGM reference documents will posted to our website here and you can access them at your convenience.

This will be our fifth on-line AGM. Previous on-line adventures have gone quite well, with our members seeming to enjoy the experience. We hope you’ll find time to attend this year’s meeting. Meeting on-line is the next best thing to being there. It permits members to attend virtually, who may not normally be able to attend because of their distance from the gallery. Even a winter storm won’t cancel us!

As last year, we will be using the Google Meet platform. If you have any questions, or require further information, please contact me. Particularly, if you're new to Google Meet - or have concerns about using it, please let me. If there's sufficient interest, I'll organize a brief "practice" meeting with Google Meet where members can test their systems, connectivity, etc., and get comfortable.

Draw, Paint, Art!
​Our annual exhibition of artwork by local students, grades 6 - 12. Last year's schools were Bayview Community School, Bluenose Academy, Forest Heights Community School and Park View Education Centre.
